‘Fresh2Death’ (F2D) is a series of curated events that highlight the impact, as well as educate the masses about Black culture. With a lens that is fresh, fly, innovative, classic and relevant ‘til the end of time, ‘Fresh2Death’ (F2D) celebrates the various components that Black Americans have contributed/are contributing to culture–mainstream and otherwise.
Its inaugural exhibit at The Mint Museum Uptown (May ‘22) has led to several iterations due to its commitment to cultural representation, the uplifting of local creatives and artists, the support of local creative entrepreneurs, as well as the visceral, fun and thought-provoking displays, installations and components.
The impact of F2D continues to be seen and experienced. Take ‘Fresh2Death: Streetwhere ‘22’ which took place September 10th and 11th at Camp North End. Over two days, 1500+ people were in attendance, 65+ vendors and creative entrepreneurs were supported (financially), seven local creatives facilitated art-centered workshops and seven, Black male designers were exalted and their brands, grossly lifted–getting national recognition and invites to other fashion shows/weeks (including Philadelphia, New York and Miami).
We are well underway planning the next exhibits/events that focus on theater/film and beauty, as well as revisiting ‘Streetwhere.’ More, we are in conversations with Urban Outfitters, Charlotte Museum of History, The Harvey B Gantt Center and Nascar for various iterations of F2D in their establishments–further providing opportunity and access points for community.
